HP announcement on Thursday that it is getting out of all its hardware business. I expect that HP's PC business will be sold to a Chinese company, due to the fact that the PC market is shrinking in the US, while the Asia and Latin market is growing. The two most likely candidates will be Lenovo and Huawei. That will leave two American companies in the PC market, Dell and Apple. Dell will be the only US-based company selling Windows PCs.
